Exhibition: “dinosaurs”

Cap Sciences, located in Bordeaux, is a center dedicated to scientific, technical and industrial culture, offering exhibitions, workshops and various events.

Let’s travel back in time to the Mesozoic era, between 251 and 66 million years ago…
DINOSAURES is a captivating invitation to rediscover the Cretaceous, Jurassic and Triassic periods. At Cap Sciences, you’ll meet dinosaurs such as Triceratops, Stegosaurus, Tyrannosaurus, Ankylosaurus and Baryonyx.

But what were living conditions like on Earth at the time? What did these fascinating creatures eat? How did they camouflage or defend themselves? What did they really look like: carnivores, herbivores, feathered, furred or scaly?

In the course of the exhibition, you’ll wander through a caravan of dinosaurs, discover fossils and the profession of paleontologist, visit the laboratory to analyze them… and finish off with a Quizz Challenge.

Exhibition – Around the world in 50 wine regions

The Cité du Vin is hosting the exhibition Around the World in 50 Wine Regions, a visual journey dedicated to the diversity of international wine-growing regions. This programme showcases a selection of photographs from partner regions, each of which has chosen an iconic image to embody its landscape, people or heritage.

The curatorial approach is based on a cross-sectional interpretation of the vineyards, without geographical hierarchy or strict technical classification. The photographs interact with each other through three major themes:

    • the morphology of wine-growing landscapes,
    • the representation of professional gestures
    • and the historical roots of the terroirs.
