Destination Cosmos, The Ultimate Challenge

After the Atelier des Lumières in Paris and the Carrières des Lumières in Provence, “Destination Cosmos, l’ultime défis”, developed in partnership with the CNES, arrives at the Bassins des Lumières.

An exhibition to discover our solar system

From 21 October to 19 November 2022, 26 special evenings will allow you to experience this adventure through our solar system. From the first people to observe the stars to the Apollo 11 moon landing, humanity’s desire to explore space has grown.

The exhibition takes you through a labyrinth of stars, planets, nebulae and supernovae. A unique journey that starts in the heart of the Guyanese rainforest and ends at the edge of the universe.

After leaving Earth, you will be invited to travel the canyons of Mars with rovers (vehicles designed to explore the surface of celestial bodies), to dive into the centre of Jupiter, to fly over the rings of Saturn and beyond the limits of our system. Explore the vastness of our universe.

Immerse yourself in imagery and music, and embark on a space adventure like never before with breathtaking images from CNES, ESA and NASA.
